Bill Jacobs LPCC

Clinical Background

Bill Jacobs acquired a Masters Degree in counseling from the Albuquerque branch of Webster University in 1999.

 

That same year he began working as a counselor for Albuquerque Public Schools. Six years in that system provided him understanding of how the school system works and how to help children and parents work with it.

While working for APS, Bill also aquired his counseling licensure, LPCC (Licenced Professional Clinical Counselor), and is certified by the Counseling and Therapy Practice Board of the state of New Mexico.

 

Soon after, he started a private counseling practice serving families and children.

 

During that time he also served as a volunteer facilitator at the Children's Grief Center of New Mexico.

 

After moving from APS, Bill began working with Southwest Family Insititute where he worked with families, adolescents, and children.

Prior to his work in the mental health field, Bill worked as a minister, specializing in youth work. He currently volunteers as an on-call pastor for Lovelace Women's Hospital.

 

Bill lives in Albuquerque with his wife Elaine. They have two married daughters and four grand chidren.
