Self-Injury Family Support
One of the most difficult experiences in life can be that of knowing that a loved one is self-injuring. That's why we offer self-injury family support.
Knowing that a family is interconnected, we also know that when a family member is self-injuring it affects everyone else as well, to some degree.
There are several often seen aspects to the issue from a family member's perspective.
- Why do they do it?
- Don't they know we love them?
- We have to get them to stop immediately.
- Siblings sometimes ask, "Did I cause it?"
We work with families to reduce the anxiety associated with this situation.
If your child or sibling is injuring themselves, there is help available. Give us a call.
